We are writing on behalf of the Mental Health Coalition of Nova Scotia to request your Party’s platform on mental health and a response to the enclosed mental health fact sheet. Our Coalition is a non-partisan group of concerned individuals and organizations who are committed to raising the priority of mental health issues on the government agenda and to ending the chronic underfunding of mental health services.
The Mental Health Coalition of Nova Scotia includes over 200 people from across the province representing a number of individuals living with mental illness, family members, health providers, provincial organizations, community agencies, unions, elected officials, and academics. Our Vision and Mission Statement are enclosed.
Please submit your response to us by 9:00am, Monday, May 25th . We will be posting all responses received on our website at http://www.mentalhealthcoalitionns.info. We will also ask our members to post and/or broadly distribute the responses. To assist us in making mental health a key issue in this campaign, we would also appreciate receiving news of any upcoming events during your campaign.
